The Brian Bill Foundation hosted its fourth-annual Special Operations Charity Golf Tournament on April 5 at TPC Tampa Bay in Lutz. There were 140 golfers participating, including former Tampa Bay Lightning player Vinny LeCavalier. U.S. Special Operators, including Navy SEALs, Green Berets and Rangers, Combat Controllers, Para-Rescue, including active and retired officers, accompanied each of the 30 teams. Scott Bill, who founded the Brian Bill Foundation in honor of his son, estimates the event raised $75,000 for the charity. The foundation hosts therapeutic retreats to help members of Special Operations Forces heal from the invisible wounds of war. Brian Bill was a Navy SEAL killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011.
