CBS News 10 Tampa Bay - Fallen US Navy SEAL honored by CrossFit community on Memorial Day
The CrossFit community comes together every Memorial Day to honor Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a United States Navy Seal who was killed in action on June 28, 2005.
The workout they do to honor this American hero is called "Murph". It starts with a 1-mile run, followed by 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats and wraps up with another 1-mile run. Each exercise is done with a weighed vest.
